Coach Washburn is the current Director of Baseball Operations at Sam Houston State University. Prior to joining the Bearkats, he was the head baseball coach at College Park (for 14 years), Spring and Willis High Schools. He also coached the 15U USA National Team to a Gold Medal in 2015. His played college ball at Texas A&M.

Mike Harris

Coach Harris was a 3-time Minor League All-Star, Defensive Coach for the White Sox, and Professional Scout for the Cardinals. In 1999, he founded Miracles Baseball Academy (MBA). MBA has helped position more than 300 young men to play at the college level and helped 14 players to get drafted...5 have gone on to play in the Major Leagues.
Carson Kainer

Coach Kainer played at the University of Texas where he won a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in 2005. He was a 2-time ALL-AMERICAN and a Big XII ALL-DECADE Outfielder. He was drafted and played for the Cincinnati Reds from 2006-2010. His drive, resiliency and commitment to the game were tested in 2006 when he received a kidney transplant. Undeterred, he became the first professional baseball player to play after receiving an organ transplant.
Tanner Lawson

Coach Tanner played at University of Houston and St. Edward's University where he studied kinesiology. He was drafted in 2018 (21st round) by the Atlanta Braves. He pitched the 2018 season with the Danville Braves and posted a 3.60 ERA with 29 innings, 31 strikeouts, and only 5 walks.
Josh Pettitte

Coach Josh was drafted in 2013 by the New York Yankees, but elected to pursue his pitching career and education at Baylor University. In 2015, he transferred to Rice University where he recorded 27 strikeouts in 19 innings as a relief pitcher that year. In his outing against #1 ranked TCU, he fanned 2 of the 3 batters he faced. As a high school player at Deer Park High School, he was a stand-out being selected second team All-American and First Team All State his senior year.
David Harris

Coach David was originally drafted and played several season in the Toronto Blue Jays Organization. In late 2017, his career brought him back to Houston when was signed by the Sugarland Skeeters.
During his college career he was a standout and received MVP honors at Southern Arkansas University. In 2013 he was also named Player of the Year in the Great American Conference.
Robbie Lammons

Coach Robbie finished his playing career after a successful college career at Rice University, Howard College and ultimately, St. Edwards University we he earned his degree. As a catcher and infielder, he's been named to numerous all-district, all-conference, and all-tournament teams.
Tyler Brown

Coach Tyler finished his collegiate career at St. Edward's Univerity in Austin, Texas. He is a left-handed, hard throwing (95) pitcher that hopes to continue his career as a professional player in 2021. While he trains in the off-season, he will be helping our players.
Colby Richards

Coach Colby played his collegiate career at The University of Nebraska - Lincoln, York College and Nebraska Wesleyan University. He has 10 years of baseball instruction specializing in functional movement principles, kinetic chain, and modern baseball theory.
Adam Durand
Professional Trainer/Louisiana Regional Director
Secialization: Hitting and Middle Infield
Coach Durand was a 4 year letterman at Redeemer HS before playing SS and 2B at Delgado CC and leading them to the NJCAA College World Series. He is married and has 4 children with his oldest son playing playing baseball at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. He has coached Select Baseball for 11 years.
Wade Martinez
Head Coach/Professional Trainer
Specialization: Catching, Strength & Agility (Y.E.S. Certified)
Coach Wade was a catcher at Cy-Fair High School and Southwestern University. After college, he continued to play Ametuer baseball for 17 years. He competed in tournaments around the country winning multiple local titles and finishing second in the 18U+ Open Division Word Series in Arizona.
He is a Certified Youth Exercise Specialist and has been a head coach with Scorpions Baseball for 8 years.
Adria Martinez
Professional Trainer
Specialization: Speed and Agility
Coach Adria received a full volleyball scholarship to Rice University when she was 15. Since being a high school senior, she has worked as a strength and agility coach for the Scorpions. As a Student-Athlete at Rice studying sports management, she helped lead the Owls past the #3 Texas Longhorns and land the Rice Volleyball Program in the top 25 for the first time in program history. In the fall of 2020, she'll be pursuing a Masters Degree at Durham University in England while conitinuing her Volleyball career as a scholarship student-athlete abroad.
Keeon Johnson

Coach Keeon played football at The University of New Mexico State prior to a professional career in both Europe and in the Arena Football League. Today he holds numberous certifications in the fitness world from both ACE and ISSA.
