FALL TRYOUTS will be posted for late summer
Our Summer Camps are a great way to get training and reps, plus learn more about our club to see if it's the right fit for your player.
WE HAVE A NEW FORMAT FOR OUR SUMMER 2022 CAMPS
What to expect?
MORE TRAINING - Players will receive MORE THAN 12 HOURS OF PROFESSIOANL TRAINING per week from our coaching staff.
Coaches Jason Washburn, Mike Harris, Christian Caudle, Danny Crawford, Connor Baumann, and others will teach position-specific fundamentals,
pitching technique, hitting form, mental approach, and more. Players will receive supervised instruction during drills each day.
There will be an Advanced Training Group for older and more skilled players.
SMALL GROUPS/TEAMS - Players will be divided into smaller groups with their own coach who stays with the group throughout the week.
The team will get to know each other through enriching activities, competing in challenges, performing team-building tasks, and having FUN!
THE MOST FUN EVER - The afternoons at Scorpions' Camps are a blast! And we've added some EXCITING games, workshops, projects,
special guests and competitions to make this years' camps the best ever! We want BOYS TO BE BOYS! We'll still have water slides, dodgeball, wiffle ball, and kickball,
but we are adding a host of new "surprises" to send the boys home with a new, awesome experience each week.
OTHER SPORTS - Being a well-rounded athlete is important.
Beginning in July, players will have the opportunity to choose to spend their camp week learning baseball, basketball, or football. Each day, they'll learn, practice and compete in drills and
games for the sport they choose.
CAMP T-SHIRTS - All players will receive a dri-fit camp t-shirt each week. We'll have different colors most
weeks!
FAREWELL FRIDAYS - Parents will want to show up a few minutes early for the conclusion of camp each week. Teams will demonstrate their "New Talents"
in front of the entire camp and audience, teammates will say their good-byes after a final team challenge and
Team Coaches will meet with their teams (and parents) before saying farewell.
High School Showcase Teams (Some Teams will go to PBR or PG in Georgia)
Additional Tryouts by appointment. After you register, we will contact you to set up a time.
THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION PARTNERS
We are exited to welcome Coach Washburn to our Scorpions Family!
Director of Baseball Operations and Player Development.
Scorpions Baseball welcomes Josh Pettitte to our baseball family. Coach Josh was a stand-out at Deer Park High School before being drafted by the New York Yankees. He elected to pursue his baseball career and education at Baylor University. In 2015, he transferred to Rice University where he recorded 27 strikeouts in 19 innings as a relief pitcher in his first season. In his outing against #1 ranked TCU, he fanned 2 of the 3 batters he faced. Unfortunately, injuries shortened his playing career. He comes to our staff as a highly recommended coach and instructor. Welcome Coach Josh!
We welcome Robbie Lammons back home from College to stay. Coach Robbie finishes his playing career after a successful college career at Rice University, Howard College and ultimately, St. Edwards University where he earned his degree. As a catcher and infielder, he's been named to numerous all-district, all-conference, and all-tournament teams.
Scorpions Baseball holds its coaches and players to high standards both on the field and off. Excellence in training is the foundation. A players' dedication to himself and his team is the commitment. Success on the field is the result. As a member of the Scorpions Baseball family, our coaches, players and parents expect more. Training, goal setting, team commitment, winning, AND FUN are combined to create a comprehensive player-development program.
