We are exited to welcome Coach Washburn to our Scorpions Family!

In addition to coaching, he will serve as the High School Showcase Program Advisor.

Coach Jason Washburn is also the current Director of Baseball Operations at Sam Houston State University.  Prior to joining the Bearkats, he was the head baseball coach at College Park (for 14 years), Spring and Willis High Schools.  He also coached the 15U USA National Team to a Gold Medal in 2015.  He played college ball at Texas A&M and helped them win the Southwest Conference Title in 1993.

This SUMMER will be SPECIAL!  We also welcome Coach Wood to our Family.

Coach Wood will serve as the Director of Player Development for our High School Showcase Program, assist with all age group practices, instruct at our camps, and offer private lessons.

Coach Dave Wood is currently the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for St. Edwards University.  Prior to coaching he had several successful years in the Kansas City Royals organization.  And in college, he was a standout player receiving multiple accolades at Texas State University.

Scorpions Baseball welcomes Josh Pettitte to our baseball family.  Coach Josh was a stand-out at Deer Park High School before being drafted by the New York Yankees.  He elected to pursue his baseball career and education at Baylor University.  In 2015, he transferred to Rice University where he recorded 27 strikeouts in 19 innings as a relief pitcher in his first season.  In his outing against #1 ranked TCU, he fanned 2 of the 3 batters he faced.  Unfortunately, injuries shortened his playing career.  He comes to our staff as a highly recommended coach and instructor.  Welcome Coach Josh!

We welcome Robbie Lammons back home from College to stay.  Coach Robbie finishes his playing career after a successful college career at Rice University, Howard College and ultimately, St. Edwards University we he earned his degree.  As a catcher and infielder, he's been named to numerous all-district, all-conference, and all-tournament teams.
